Friendly earth! geothermal energy
Author: adminThe energy derived from the earth is generally called Geo Thermal Energy. Heat under the layers of the earth assemble and form the geothermal fields which we see in the form of the Geysers, Hot springs and the steam baths which can be seen on the surface of the earth. These were naturally formed hot springs and were believed to have medicinal qualities. It was only since the 20th century that the geothermal energy started being used to generate electricity, which is far cheaper than hydro electricity, nuclear power stations and thermal power stations. Today it is considered to be the modern source of energy and is taken very seriously now especially with the other resources depleting at such an alarming rate.
