Wittgenstein proposed that the term game cannot be constrained by giving one meaning. He proved that games have a wide range of meaning and definition.Roger Caillois,a socialist of France defined game like an activity which has so many features and characteristics. The characteristics of the games defined by Roger are fun, uncertain, fictitious and non productive. The game is considered as fun when it is played for time pass. The time and the place are the two criteria, which separates one game from the other. The outcome or the result of the game is unpredictable; we cannot expect the exact outcome of a game. The game has so many rules which have to be followed. A sequence of dichotomies is used to define game by Chris Crawford, a computer designer. The games are considered as a interactive play thing with respect to movies and the books which are considered as an non interactive thing. The games are also made or played for money. If a game doesn’t have a goal or objective then it is considered as a toy. Mostly games are played for enjoyment, entertainment and for refreshment. The player of the games doesn’t have any right to attack or harm the opponent member. There must not be any sought of revenge in the minds of the players. If a game is played for achieving a goal, then it is considered as a challenge. The Sims and the SimCity are some of the examples of toys, which mean that it doesn’t have any goal. There must not be any conflict among the players, which may result in the spoiling of the game. In artificial intelligence, the games are played as puzzles. The games include the active and the energetic agents. The other definitions of games conclude it as a system which is engaged in mock conflicts. But the results or the outcome of the games can be quantified.
